  • Are the classes offered in a brick-and-mortar school or online or a combination of both?

    -We offer a completely online program to make it more manageable for those who are out of state or have a busy lifestyle.

  • What are the programs being offered at the school relating to the profession of voice writers as court reporters, CART Providers, or captioners?

    -We are a court reporting program only.

  • Has the school received state accreditation or licensing?

    -We do not currently have state accreditation or licensing.

  • Does the school offer financial aid and/or scholarship opportunities?

    -We are in the process of working with the Federal Government to accept financial aid. Although we don’t offer this currently we do have payment options.

  • Does the program accept any transfer credits from other schools?  Does this school have credits that other programs accept in transfer?

    -We are a certification program only. We will train to pass the NVRA certification test and begin working in the field of court reporting.

  • What is the pass/fail rate for the programs I'm interested in?

    -We are a newer program so we have a small number of students who have attended the program but they have all passed and are now working reporters.

  • Does your school/program offer evening classes for those who work full-time?

    -Our program has “live” evening classes and then a completely self-paced program to accommodate all schedules.

  • Is there an internship or externship requirement and, if so, are there opportunities arranged by the school?

    -There is no requirement but there is an opportunity for in-person internships/externships for those who are in the state of Georgia and Zoom opportunities for those who are not.

  • Does the program offer job placement assistance?  Are records available for job placement upon successful completion of the program?

    -We do offer job placement assistance in some areas.

  • Does the school provide opportunities to meet firm owners, e.g. career night?  Which companies/firms recruit at the school?  Will these professionals do presentations for students attending the school?

    -We do provide an opportunity to meet firm owners who can do a presentation for students.

  • Am I able to speak with an instructor, current student and/or graduate of the program?

    -Anytime. Just let us know and we will set it up for you.

  • Is there a mentoring program for current students to be mentored by graduates of the program and/or working professionals?

    -We don’t have an established mentoring program but do have the ability to guide students to potential mentors.

  • Does the program's cost include all software, hardware, laptop, etc. that is needed to complete the program AND is it a full install version of the software or a student version of the software?

    -We provide a full version of SpeechCat CAT software, books, learning materials, peripherals, Express Scribe Transcription Software, a foot pedal, student membership to NVRA, one certification test study guide along with one written and practical certification test. Students will need to provide their own laptop with minimum requirements, Dragon Naturally Speaking version 15 or above, and a stenomask. A full supply list and computer specs will be provided at the time of registration.
